Mamelodi Sundowns’ out-of-favour winger Gaston Sirino could reunite with former coach Pitso Mosimane in the United Arab Emirates in the next few weeks, according to reports.

The 32-year-old was linked with a move to Orlando Pirates but with the PSL transfer closed, the only option for the winger is the move out of the country.

According to Soccer Laduma, the Uruguayan has attracted interest from UAE club Al Wahda. Pitso Mosimane reportedly made a bid to bring his former player to the Middle East but Sundowns rejected it, as it was deemed too low.

In the past 12 months, Sirino has played less matches for the Brazilians and has handed down his transfer request to the club management last month.

“Talks are going to happen. Both parties want these negotiations to go on and bear fruit. And whatever happens is what will determine the future of Sirino. He wants to go where he can play and the club wants to reach an agreement which will favour both parties so that it’s a mutual agreement,” Soccer Laduma was quoted.
