Pyramids FC head coach Jamie Pacheco has hit out at reports linking Pitso Mosimane to his current job.

The legendary South African mentor, who conquered Africa with rival Egyptian side Al Ahly, has been linked with the Pyramids FC coaching role.

But Pacheco isn’t taking kindly to these reports. Take a look at what the Portuguese mentor had to say regarding Pitso Mosimane replacing him below.

“This is a question that should not be asked from a person who understands football. He may be hired and work for the clubs that are against us and are trying to destroy our work.” – Jamie Pacheco said as quoted by IdiskiTimes.

“I respect everyone and therefore I must be treated with respect. The question in this form about my dismissal after the loss is an attack and carries a kind of belittlement.

“And the press conference has no place or correct timing. This was not the first time I was asked this question. It was asked last year.”

We have enough quality – Johnson

Pitso Mosimane has also been linked with the blockbuster move to Kaizer Chiefs during recent weeks.

Interim Amakhosi head coach Cavin Johnson previously worked with Pitso Mosimane at Al Ahly as his assistant coach.

“Look I think we have enough quality in the team, I just think they have not been given enough opportunities as individuals and I think the way we assess them, or the way we analyse them as part of the Chiefs family,” Johnson told iDiskiTimes

“I think that needs to be a little better between myself and my coaching staff. Because then we can give them more, they can be more positive towards themselves.

“If you did come to Kaizer Chiefs as an average player, then we will make you a better player. I think we need to get in their skin right now and there are good players.”
