Pitso Mosimane set for blockbuster return to Saudi Arabia!

After a two-month break, Pitso Mosimane now looks set to return to coaching after reportedly agreeing terms with a new club!

Legendary South African mentor Pitso Mosimane is edging closer to a return to coaching.

The serial-winning coach has been unemployed since parting ways with United Arab Emirates side Al Wahda in November 2023.

According to the latest reports, the former Mamelodi Sundowns coach is close to returning to Saudi Arabia!

Mosimane led Al Ahli Saudi Club to the Saudi First Division title last season before parting ways with the club in June 2023.

Now, Pitso Mosimane will reportedly join Saudi top flight side Abha FC!

“But you’re right [it was a short stint], I think inside the vision of looking to win a trophy we need to win the league may be, there are principles and alignment that should be short-term, mid-term and long-term plans,” Pitso Mosimane told iDiskiTimes.

“There must be a way to be aligned in knowing the short-term and mid-term plans, that within that space we should be able to say yes, this is the plan, this is achievable quickly and there’s no plan that’s perfect, even when you win a tournament, there are headaches.

“But once we’re inside the same vision. I think there was a lack of alignment from my thinking and what [Al Wahda] wants. In what the team has been doing for the last 13 years where they haven’t won the league.” Pitso Mosimane concluded.
