Kaizer Chiefs have announced their pre-season tour ahead of the 2023/24 DStv Premiership season.

Unlike Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns, Chiefs won’t be travelling to Europe but the club confirmed that are heading off on a pre-season African tour.

Amakhosi will play in Tanzania and Botswana in the next coming weeks.

Chiefs to go on an African tour for pre-season

Yanga’, as they are known, are the double defending Tanzanian champions and had six of their players called up to the Taifa Stars squad for Tanzania’s Africa Cup Of Nations qualifier against Niger last month. The game will be a good test for new coach Molefi Ntseki.

A week later on Saturday 29 July, Chiefs meet Township Rollers at Botswana’s National Stadium in Gaborone.

Rollers are the most successful team in the country’s history (having won more league titles and cups than any of their domestic rivals) and being the country’s best supported club, with ‘Popa’ fans renowned for being the most passionate in the land.

The Glamour Boys have bought seven new players to their first team and these games will give Ntseki a good chance to assess new players and also build on a new squad that can compete with the likes of Pirates and Sundowns.
