Pirates hammer Sundowns in titanic DDC clash

Orlando Pirates moved to the summit of the DStv Diski Challenge log standings after thrashing rivals Mamelodi Sundowns on Sunday afternoon.
Goals by Lulama Nxumalo, Mpumelelo Ndaba and a brace by Mohau Nkota earned the junior Bucs a 4-1 victory over Masandawana.
The loss for Mamelodi Sundowns means the junior Brazilians drop to third on the log standings, two points behind the Buccaneers after 13 matches.

“Professional football players have to perform and sometimes make mistakes. We all make mistakes in our professions. We are not superheroes, we don’t do everything perfectly. It was a mistake, but football is a game of mistakes.” Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro said, as quoted by Sowetan.
