Kaizer Chiefs and Kappa have officially unveiled the new home and away jersey design for the 2023/24 Premier Soccer League season.

The moment all Chiefs fans have been waiting for finally arrived on Tuesday night as the club revealed a striking new gold and black Kappa home kit.

“Designed to evoke a sense of the club’s rich heritage and tradition, the home jersey is predominantly gold – symbolising Amakhosi’s commitment to success and excellence,” a statement read.
“With bold black inflections accentuating the sleek design, which will be complemented by either black or gold shorts on the field. The home kit pays tribute to Kaizer Chiefs’ prestigious legacy, instilling both players and supporters, who are always behind the team, with a sense of pride.
“In addition to the chic home kit, Kaizer Chiefs and Kappa have also introduced a beguiling green and gold away kit for the upcoming season. Inspired by the natural beauty of South Africa, the green represents the lush landscapes of the nation.
“It also symbolises the growth and the nurturing of a new relationship, while the gold trim symbolises victory and the accomplishment of the club over the past 53 years. This visually stunning away jersey is a testament to Kaizer Chiefs’ determination to dominate both on and off the field, forging ahead with confidence and style.”

The new Chiefs kit is now available countrywide
With the 2023/24 season around the corner, club management, led by the chairman, Dr. Kaizer Motaung, brainstormed a new theme to ignite the spirit of the team and their loyal supporters. They sought to come up with something that honours the rich heritage of the club and aptly represents their status as the kings of South African football.
“With the new replica jersey and our ‘Khosified’ theme, we aim to inspire the Club’s loyal fanbase, providing a stylish way for supporters to demonstrate their unwavering commitment and passion for the team when they are in the stands,” stated Motaung. “With their eye-catching designs of our new merchandise and unparalleled performance capabilities, we anticipate that these Kappa jerseys, tracksuits, polo shirts, caps and t-shirts will certainly become fan favourites, if social media reports are anything to go by.”
The merchandise which includes a specially designed jersey for women will be available for purchase at leading sporting and retail stores countrywide, including Kappa stores, as well as from Kaizer Chiefs Retail at the Village in Naturena, and online at www.kcdigistore.com from Wednesday, 26 July 2023.
The new home jersey will see action for the first time on Sunday, 6 August, when Amakhosi welcome Chippa United at Moses Mabhida for their season opener, clad in their new apparel.
