Ex Pirates star reveals shocker about starting 11 selections

Ex-Orlando Pirates striker Thulasizwe Mbuyane has revealed Stanely “Screamer” Tshabalala influence on team selections.

Not a lot of Orlando Pirates and Thulasizwe Mbuyane fans will enjoy this story. The former center forward has revealed how the coach was instructed not to play him.

HOW MBUYANE LEFT ORLANDO PIRATES

Speaking on TK Solutions’ YouTube, the Mamelodi-born star was simply asked to explain how and why he left Pirates.

Mbuyane replied to reveal that the beginning of the end started when the club’s Technical Director, Stanely ‘Screamer’ Tshabalala, ordered the head coach Roger de Sa not to select him.

“I was told by coach Roger that le grootman [Tshabalala] says I must not play you,” Mbuyane said.

“Bra Screamer said I must not select you. I want to play you but he doesn’t want me to play you. This game is yours but he does not want me to play you.

The former Free State Stars, Mpumalanga Black Aces, and Royal Eagles star concluded to reveal that the situation drove him to rebel and eventually depart from the club.

KAIZER CHIEFS SIGN GIVEN MSIMANGO FROM TS GALAXY

In other news, Amakhosi have pipped the Pirates to the signature of Given Msimango of TS Galaxy.

According to the report by SABC Sport’s Mazola Molefe, the 25-year-old from Gauteng’s Brakpan has signed a four-year contract but will move at the end of the season in June.

“Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have concluded the signing of highly rated TS Galaxy captain and defender Given Msimango following a lengthy chase, SABC Sport understands,” the report said.

“The Glamour Boys were reportedly close to bagging the center back ahead of the current 2022/23 season, but the deal did not go through even after Galaxy chairman Tim Sukazi made it clear that The Rockets were open to selling.

“According to impeccable sources, Msimango is understood to have put pen to paper on a four-year deal and set to move to Naturena from 1 July.”

Msimango becomes the second central defender that will arrive next season alongside Thatayaone Ditlhokwe from SuperSport United.
