A former Orlando Pirates star will have to once again find a new club, after his current club opted against extending his contract

Former AmaZulu and Orlando Pirates midfielder Luvuyo Memela has been released by Richards Bay FC.

The 35-year-old midfielder spent last season at DStv Premiership new-comers Richards Bay, making 24 appearances for the club.

Uncharacteristically, Memela only managed to contribute with one goal last season, and has subsequently been released by the club!

“Richards Bay have released Luvuyo Memela after just one season at the club in their debut DStv Premiership campaign.” an IdiskiTimes report read.

In other news, Orlando Pirates have reportedly won the race to sign Marumo Gallants winger Katlego Otladisa!

The Buccaneers have long been linked with the speedy winger, and reports suggest they’ve finally landed their man!

According to the latest transfer rumours, Jose Riveiro’s side were competing with no less than three other PSL teams for Otladisa’s signature!

“According to sources close to the deal, negotiations between the two clubs, Gallants and Pirates are progressing quite well.”
