Orlando Pirates agree terms for new R3.5 million star! – reports

Orlando Pirates have just agreed terms with their latest star acquisition valued at R3.5 MILLION according to the latest reports.

Orlando Pirates have just agreed terms with their latest star acquisition valued at R3.5 MILLION according to the latest reports.

Pirates have just signed Cameroon striker Souaibou Marou for an agreed transfer fee of R3.5 MILLION, according to SoccerLaduma.

Marou has finally put pen to paper in a deal that will see him play for the Bucs for four years.

PIRATES SIGN R3.5 MILLION AFRICAN STRIKER

Pirates have just signed Cameroonian striker Marou from Coton Sport.

Having been linked with the star for several weeks it seemed that the Bucs could miss out after Coton Sport denied claims that he was linked to Pirates.

However, he has just signed a four year deal with the Bucs.

Furthermore, the deal cost will cost the Sea Robbers one of their foreign players due to the current foreign quota policy.

MAROU SIGNING COMES AT A COST

Currently, Eva Nga, Kwame Peprah, Terrence Dzvukamanja, Olisah Ndah and Richard Ofori occupy the allocated spots allowed in the team.

Therefore, one of these men will have to leave the Bucs in order to fit the current limit of five foreign players allowed per PSL side.

Marou was part of Cameroons recent FIFA World Cup squad but he did not feature for a single minute in Qatar.

The 22 year old strong and sturdy, offing plenty to aim at from the set piece with his 1.8m frame. The talented striker has already scored for once for Cameroon while making three appearances for the Indominable Lions.

However, he will not simply just slide into the Bucs starting XI. Jose Riveiro has already built huge depth up front with Kermit Erasmus, Zakhele Lepasa, Deon Hotto and Monnapule Saleng used up front. While Bafana Bafana striker Evidence Makgopa is likely to be unleashed on the rest of the DStv Premiership when it returns.

Furthermore, they just signed PSL veteran Ndumiso Mabena. Therefore, opportunities will be few and far between for the Soweto giants latest signing but there is a reason they signed him. Therefore, Riveiro and Bucs management definitely have a plan for their latest striker recruit.
