Orlando Pirates set to loan winger to PSL Rivals?

Orlando Pirates have literally just signed this man. Now, in surprising reports, he could be loaned back to their PSL Rivals.

Craig Martin has failed to make an impact since joining the Soweto giants.

Now, Bucs management are considering loaning him back to Cape Town City.

PIRATES TO SEND MARTIN ON LOAN?

Martin was only just signed with the Sea Robbers signing the winger at the end of last year.

However, Bucs management are not impressed.

In fact, they believe they have enough talent on the wing.

“It seems like it was an emotional signing and they (Pirates) feel like there is nothing special he is giving to the team compared to the players they already have on the wings like Bandile Shandu and Thabiso Monyane. They even use Paseko Mako on the right. So now they want to loan Martin next season and preferably back to Cape Town City. But we will see all that at the end of the season,” the relevant source confirmed on SoccerLaduma.

Therefore, Shandu and Monyane may be used more regularly moving forward.

It seems that Martin will be one of several players loaned out or dropped at the end of this season.

BUCS MANAGEMENT PLANNING TO CUT SQUAD

Bucs management are aiming to rid the squad of ‘excess players’.

Meaning, they want to release players who do not feature regularly.

So, they are aiming to move forward with an emphasis on squad depth.
