Orlando Pirates and AmaZulu could be set for a player swap before the end of the current window.

This comes after links of Bongani Sam going to AmaZulu, while Riaan Hanamub moves to Pirates  have surfaced.

Sam is set to return to parent club, Pirates after his loan was reportedly terminated by Swallows. The Dube Birds recently parted ways with a reported 22 players, with the left-back thought to be one of them. As he returns to the Buccaneers, he is not expected to be short of any potential suitors for a new home. It has widely been reported that AmaZulu are keen on his services with a player swap on the cards.

Of course, for Pirates Sam would be used to get their prime target at left-back in Hanamub. This is not the first time that Pirates are interested in Hanamub. You might recall they inquired about him at the start of the season but nothing really happened. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, there could be an amicable solution for both sides.

“Riaan Hanamub remains a target for Pirates despite that AmaZulu previously disputed the news, AmaZulu are interested in Pirates’ Bongani Sam, who is on loan at (Moroka) Swallows, and depending on the plans in the coming weeks there could be an exchange of players between the two clubs,” said a source speaking to the same publication.

It was previously thought that Pirates were going to try and use striker Tshegofatso Mabasa in a swap deal. It was believed that AmaZulu were very interested in his services, before chairman Sandile Zungu ended all speculation. Usuthu have already secured one left-back on loan from Mamelodi Sundowns in Sifiso Ngobeni. It could be that he has replace Sibusiso Mabiliso. While Same could replace Hanamub in a straight swap.
