BUCS TO SIGN THE NEW HLATSHWAYO?

Talking about Pirates, the club is hotly linked what is a new top-rated central defender named Hlatshwayo in Mzansi football.

Having reportedly signed TS Galaxy’s goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi and All Stars midfielder Siphelo Baloni, the Buccaneers are now said to be targetting Golden Arrows’ midfielder Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo.

The 29-year-old from Newcastle, KwaZulu Natal, caught Pirates’ eye after an impressive 22 appearances in Arrows’ defence last season.

“FARPost has learnt that the Buccaneers have made Abafana Bes’thende’s Sicelokuhle Hlatshwayo is one of their top defensive targets this transfer window,” FARPost reported.

“According to a source, the Soweto giants and the KZN-based club are discussing but yet to come to any agreement,” the report added.

Should Hlatshwayo switch to Soweto, he will become the second central defender from Abafana Bes’thende to Pirates after the superb Nkosinathi “Bhodlela” Sibisi last season.
