JOMO SONO TO RELEASE JERSEY NUMBER 10?

In other news, the club and its great legend Jomo Sono could have a massive decision to make regarding Relebohile Mofokeng.

Making his Pirates debut against Royal AM last May, the then 17-year-old Mofokeng dazzled AM’s defenders with unpredictable turns, take-ons and passes before his deflected shot found the net on 56 minutes.

The teenager from Sharpville basically stole the show with that arrogance and ball-confidence Bucs fans love to see.

Fast-forward to this season, and Mofokeng has been consistent.

A recent report suggests that the Soweto giants have approached the great Jomo Sono to allow the club to hand Mofokeng the retired jersey number 10, a shirt number that was last worn by the great Steve Lekoelea.

“Excl: According to our sources, Orlando Pirates management wants to give Relebohile Mofokeng jersey number 10 #OrlandoPirates approached Pirates Legend Jomo Sono just to ask for permission,” @Rushsportson2 reported via Twitter.

“Now they are waiting for Jomo to give, then go ahead,” the report concluded.
