Former Orlando Pirates star, Thandani Ntshumayelo, who now plays his football at Swallows FC, miraculously resurrected a career we all believed to be dead.

ORLANDO PIRATES’ FORMER PLAYER SAVED BY DAD

As we all learned with shock in 2016, Ntshumayelo was slapped with a four-year ban after testing positive for cocaine.

The news meant the central midfielder was unemployed after his club Orlando Pirates released him.

After successfully appealing the ridiculous four-year ban to two years, the central midfielder was signed by Baroka FC.

Speaking to Masebe Qina in the latest issue of Soccer Laduma, Ntshumayelo recalled the horror first game after the two-year break.

“I did not have the physical capacity to help the club [Baroka],” he said.

“I remember the game I played against Sundowns, that was one of the worst games of my life. I felt like I was dying after five minutes.”

“Can you imagine? I was angry with myself because that opportunity passed by. After that, I went to SuperSport United.”

NTSHUMAYELO FINALLY SAVED BY HIS DAD

In a related post, the SuperSport United academy graduate revealed how he survived unemployment.

It’s true he was well-paid at Orlando Pirates but how was he to put food in his mouth from 2016 to 2020? Ntshumayelo revealed how his father came to the rescue.

“My father was there. He said that I can’t let all the work I put in to get the house go down the drain,” the Heilbron-born player said. Read the full story here.
