New Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro is continuing to learn more about his players and they about him. The Sea Robbers have been captured under his charge during a training session.

IMAGES OF ORLANDO PIRATES’ NEW COACH JOSE RIVEIRO AT TRAINING

Following the Spaniard’s surprise appointment on 25 June, the coach has been quietly taking his team through the paces at the Rands Stadium where the mighty Buccaneers still train.

Jose, who was appointed with his own assistant coach Sergio Almenara, and the fitness trainer Miguel Bellver Esteve, will kick off their debut season with Orlando Pirates in the first week of August.

OPENING FIXTURES

So how are the first couple of tests looking like for the Spaniard? His tenure will begin against Swallows FC at the Orlando Stadium, followed by a trip to the Western Cape to battle Stellenbosch FC.

1. Swallows (home) – Saturday 6 August
2. Stellensbosch (away) – Wednesday 10 August
3. Chippa (home) – Date unconfirmed

6. Gallants (home), MTN8 Quarter-final – Wednesday 24 August
