Former Pirates striker announced in Durban

It’s part of life to return to your ex sometimes. Former Orlando Pirates star Augustine Mulenga has moved back to AmaZulu.

Some of you reading this article probably wish Mulenga was returning to Orlando Pirates. Sorry, he’s going back to AmaZulu.

AMAZULU ANNOUNCE MULENGA

Durban giants AmaZulu released Mulenga in July 2022. Looking at today’s news, that decision was a mistake.

The 34-year-old Zambian has signed for Usuthu. The move was completed after Mulenga played 16 times for Chippa United this season without scoring.

“We are thrilled to officially announce the return of Augustine Mulenga to AmaZulu Football Club,” the club said on Saturday.

Mulenga’s previous spell with AmaZulu concluded with 13 assists and eight goals in 48 games.

ORLANDO PIRATES SIGN CHIPPA UNITED ATTACKER THABISO LEBITSO

In related news, the Buccaneers have reportedly signed the 31-year-old Lebitso.

The former Tshwane University of Technology (TUT) attacker makes the move after 15 appearances that include one goal.

The news was broken by iDiski Times’ leading reporter Sinethemba Makonco on Friday.

“Orlando Pirates have completed the signing of former Chippa United winger Thabiso Lebitso,” the report said.

Meanwhile, Pirates are yet to announce the deal.
