Ex-Orlando Pirates, Mamelodi Sundowns ‘keeper joins PSL ‘rivals’

A former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper has made a sensational return to the PSL after years in the wilderness.

A former Orlando Pirates and Mamelodi Sundowns goalkeeper has made a sensational return to the PSL after years in the wilderness.

Jackson Mabokgwane has officially joined Richards Bay FC following his departure from Black Leopards.

Leopards were recently relegated from the Motsepe Foundation Championship but bought their way back by convincing All Stars FC to sell their status.

However, they couldn’t keep Mabokgwane who then opted to try his luck with Richards Bay FC in an attempt to earn a deal.

And he has finally been given the lifeline with Kaitano Tembo impressed with what he has seen in him so far.

Meanwhile, Richards Bay FC have also announced the signing of Abdi Banda from Chippa United.

The 28-year-old Tanzanian defender left Chippa United having featured in 17 competitive games and a goal for the club last season.
