Orlando Pirates make a decision on TWO more players ahead of next season!

The Orlando Pirates squad is currently hard at work in Spain, with the players looking to prove their worth to coach Jose Riveiro ahead of next season.

The Orlando Pirates squad is currently hard at work in Spain, with the players looking to prove their worth to coach Jose Riveiro ahead of next season.

Already, Pirates have secured two wins from two during their time in Spain, with some players getting the opportunity to impress Riveiro.

After making four senior signings at the moment, with another few still expected when the team touches back down in South Africa, there competition for places is expected to only get tougher for Pirates. So far, they have roped in goalkeeper Melusi Buthelezi from TS Galaxy, Siphelo Baloni from All Stars FC, Katlego Otladisa from Marumo Gallants and Patrick Maswanganyi from SuperSport United.

Now one of the younger signings that has gone under the radar is Cebo Mchunu, who joined the club from Bizana Pondo, a club in the ABC Motsepe League. This publication already reported last week that Pirates have already decided to loan the 21-year-old either to DStv Premiership side or an ABC Motsepe Championship side for the next season. Now two players who were already on loan last season, in centre back Thabiso Sesane, as well as midfielder Azola Matrose

Sesane was only to All Stars, while Matrose returned to his former club Chippa United and sources now claim Pirates are likely to loan the duo out once again according to Soccer-Laduma

Pirates to loan out Sesane and Matrose again?

“Indications are that the two players (Sesane and Matrose) could be sent on loan again for the upcoming season as Riveiro and his technical team are spoilt for choice in the current squad with the different options in each position. Chippa is keen to have Matrose back for another season under Morgan Mammila who is known to be an admirer of his talent.” Wrote the publication.

Sesane might also not be short of options once Pirates declare their decision on him. The player can play both as a defender as well as as a midfielder. He showed last season, that he is very comfortable on the ball as a defensive midfielder, and could well find a suitor in the DStv Premiership soon.
