Ex Orlando Pirates maestro set to be axed by PSL rivals?

A former Orlando Pirates maestro is set to become a free agent after being deemed surplus to requirements at his current club

Former Orlando Pirates midfield maestro Xola Mlambo is set to be offloaded by TS Galaxy!

Mlambo joined The Rockets at the beginning of last season from AmaZulu, making 25 appearances for the club.

The latest reports suggest the 32-year-old midfielder is not part of coach Sead Ramovic’s plans for next season.

“Former Orlando Pirates midfielder Xola Mlambo is set to follow teammates Ebrahim Seedat and Tshegofatso Nyama out the exit door of DStv Premiership outfit TS Galaxy.” a SoccerLaduma report read.

“According to sources close to The Rockets, Mlambo is among several players who don’t form part of the technical team’s plans for next season.”

In other news, Orlando Pirates are set to jet out to Spain for their upcoming pre-season camp.

The Buccaneers reported for duty last week at the High-Performance Centre in Tshwane. The players were medically assessed and next travel to Rustenburg where physical training begins!

José Riveiro and his squad will be based in Marabella from July 9 to July 21, 2023 for their pre-season camp.

In Spain, Orlando Pirates will face Maccabi Tel Aviv, Ecuador’s Independiente del Valle and local Spanish second tier side UD Las Palmas.

Other teams that will be camped in Marbella include Bournemouth, Charlton Athletic, Al Ain FC, Espanyol, Chelsea’s under-18s and more!
