Sandile Mthethwa – Following Maccabi’s stronger second display that pinned the Buccaneers back, the lanky central defender was the most-composed defender with clean passing and ball-carries out of the pressure.
Paseka Mako – The dynamic left-back was the most energetic player on the pitch. One moment saw Mako press Maccabi’s central defenders and the goalkeeper before sprinting back to his number three position.
Thabang Monare – Pirates dominated the first half because of Monare’s aggression, pressing and technical qualities.
Makhehlene Makhaula – He was as classy as Monare in the middle of the park.
Evidence Makgopa – Did not enjoy enough space to attack but was marvelous in defending from the top. He has certainly learned from Terrence Dzvukamanja.
