Orlando Pirates legend fires loud Lesedi Kapinga warning

Continue overlooking Lesedi Kapinga and Orlando Pirates will continue dropping points according to club legend Steve Lekoelea.

The Buccaneers once again dropped points this weekend after playing out to a goalless draw against Richards Bay.

It was their eighth match in which they failed to score so far this season however it won’t be the last if coach Jose Riveiro continues to overlook midfield maestro Kapinga, according to ‘Chippa’!

“He needs to continue working hard. He’s a good player, and I don’t understand why he’s always on the bench.” – Steve Chippa Lekoelea told KickOff.

“The Orlando Pirates’ style of play and culture require players like Kapinga. The game is always played at a high tempo when players like Kapinga and Fortune Makaringe are on the field.

“As players, we are not all the same; some situations can be detrimental to them, leading them to question what is wrong, while others can bounce back.”

In other news, Kaizer Chiefs legend Bernard Parker has broken his silence on the leg breaking tackle he received from Mamelodi Sundowns’ Bongani Zungu.

Now plying his trade for TS Galaxy. Bernard Parker was on the receiving end of a leg breaking tackle last month.

The Bafana Bafana legend underwent immediate surgery. He is now on the mend however he’ll remain on the sidelines for an extended period of time

“I think there was ill intent in the Zungu tackle,” Parker told SportsNightAmplified on MetroFM.

“I think it was a build up of emotions from him and looking at the two goals scored by Galaxy and how he was involved. When the incident happened, it was building up to it. We are all human and things like that do happen, I am not angry.”
