Orlando Pirates: TWO stars SUSPENDED for next Soweto derby!

Orlando Pirates seem to be collecting match bans at this point. Now, TWO key players have been SUSPENDED by the PSL, for different offences.

Innocent Maela and Nkosinathi Sibisi have both been SUSPENDED by the PSL, according to Soccer Laduma.

DOUBLE SUSPENSION FOR PIRATES STARS

Bucs captain Maela was shown red against Kaizer Chiefs last Saturday for a cynical and deliberate foul that stopped a clear goal-scoring opportunity.

Furthermore, his team-mate, Sibisi, accumulated a fourth yellow of the current campaign, meaning an automatic ban.

This means both men will miss their side’s DStv Premiership clash against Moroka Swallows on Friday, 3 March.

BUCS SQUAD DEPTH TO BE TESTED

Olisa Ndah is likely to earn a start despite costing his side the Soweto derby against Amakhosi with an 89th-minute own goal.

Sandile Mthethwa could also earn a rare start after featuring predominantly off the bench this season.

Thankfully, head coach Jose Riveiro makes his return to the sidelines for this weekend’s clash.

He was missing for the Soweto derby after picking up a red card during his side’s 2-0 win over All Stars in the Nedbank Cup.
