Former Orlando Pirates striker coach could join Kaizer Chiefs – report

Now this is a twist and a half sweeping it’s way through Soweto. One of Orlando Pirates’ former coaches (a striker coach) has left and could be coming to Kaizer Chiefs next.

Scott Chickelday has officially called it a day after just a month with the Bucs.

The attack coach announced his exit from Mayfair moments after the Sea Robbers. However, he could consider a possible move across Soweto to Amakhosi, according to Goal.

CHIEFS NEXT FOR FORMER BUCS COACH?

Chickelday officially left the Bucs.

Furthermore, we know that Arthur Zwane and Amakhosi management are in the market for an attack coach.

Chickelday is still in Mzansi and Zwane still needs help up front.

It remains a strong possibility. Chickelday had a profound impact on the Buccaneers attack. The Bucs managed 10 goals in 5 matches (in their first four in fact), only failing to score against Mamelodi Sundowns.

Therefore, he is just the man that Amakhosi need. In contrast, Amakhosi have only scored twice in their last five DStv Premiership encounters with both goals coming in their 2-0 victory over Royal AM last weekend.

Prior to that, Amakhosi failed to score in three consecutive matches against AmaZulu (4-0), Sekhukhune United (1-0), Mamelodi Sundowns (1-0) and again in their most recent goalless draw against TS Galaxy (0-0).

Although they scored twice in their victory over Maritzburg United, Amakhosi scored both goals in extra time. Meaning, this is the fourth time in five matches that they failed to score over 90 minutes. So, they certainly need help on attack with the likes of Keagan Dolly, Ashley Du Preez and Kgaogelo Sekgota struggling for form and Caleb-Bonfils Bimenyimana now injured.
