Orlando Pirates keen to sign former Kaizer Chiefs star! – Report

Orlando Pirate are keeping tabs on a former Kaizer Chiefs player who recently left Amakhosi. Will we see him represent both of the Soweto giants?

Bucs management are monitoring former Amakhosi midfielder Darrel Matsheke.

The talented midfielder is currently playing for Stellenbosch FC where he has got a lot more gametime.

PIRATES INTERESTED IN EX-CHIEFS MIDFIELDER

The Bucs have identified Matsheke as one of their transfer targets for the up-and-coming January transfer window.

“Pirates are monitoring Darrel Matsheke’s progress at Stellenbosch. The club (Pirates) is in search of a holding midfielder to add to the squad for next season and Darrel’s name has come up as a potential signing,” the report read on SoccerLaduma.

Meanwhile, the ex-Amakhosi target has started to find his feat at Stellies.

Moreover, he has made eight appearances so far this season where he has scored two goals and brought great energy into the midfielder. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that he has attracted attention.

POTENTIAL TO REPRESENT BOTH SOWETO GIANTS

Matsheke is a Chiefs academy product. So, if he signs for the Bucs he will have represented both Soweto giants in some capacity.

“The boy is a product of Chiefs’ development and a move back to Gauteng can not be ruled out for,” he added on the same publication.
