According to a source known to FARPost, Collins Makgaka is in the Stellies camp under the watchful eye of Steve Barker.

Makgaka was recently released by Pirates after three frustrating years at the club, but he could find a new home in the Western Cape.

However, the source claims that it is still early days to conclude whether or not Makgaka will be signed as he’s just arrived at Stellies.

Stellies sold Mendieta to Mamelodi Sundowns while they also allowed Ibraheem Jabaar to Israeli outfit Maccabi Petah Tikva.

STELLENBOSCH FC ASSESS ORLANDO PIRATES FLOP MAKGAKA

“Collins Makgaka is currently in camp with the rest of the Stellenbosch squad,” the source told the publication.

“It’s still early stages because he just arrived in the team. As you know, he was released by Orlando Pirates last week.

“So, he’s going to be under the watchful eye of Steve Barker alongside his technical team. You must also remember that the club lost Junior Mendieta and Ibraheem Jabaar.

“So, they are on a hunt for replacements. Makgaka might just be one of the players who fill in the space of those players they lost.”
