Orlando Pirates fans have had to say goodbye to a plethora of talent so far but it there are more players heading out of Mayfair.

Orlando Pirates have confirmed SEVEN player departures to date.

However, FIVE more Bucs stars are linked with likely exits.

FIVE PIRATES STARS LINKED WITH EXITS

  • Bandile Shandu
  • Bongani Sam
  • Sandile Mthethwa
  • Monnapule Saleng
  • Deon Hotto

“Among those rumored to be on the exit list are goalkeepers Richard Ofori and Siyabonga Mpontshane, Bandile Shandu, Bongani Sam, and Sandile Mthethwa, as well as midfielders Vincent Pule, Monnapule Saleng, Thabang Monare, Fortune Makaringe, and Deon Hotto,” the insider stated on SoccerLaduma.

Interestingly, Ofori, Mpontshane. Monare, Makaringe and Pule have all left since this report was made. Shandu and Mthethwa have fallen out of favor with Jose Riveiro recently. Meanwhile, the same report confirmed that they do not have plans to use these players regularly in the new season.

Therefore, Shandu, Sam, Mthethwa, Saleng and Hotto are all expected to leave Mayfair. This is all part of Pirates plan to compete in next year’s PSL.

KAIZER CHIEFS TO SIGN BUCS MAN?

Ironically, Sam is linked with Kaizer Chiefs.

“Orlando Pirates are understood to have given defender Bongani Sam the greenlight to discuss personal terms with Kaizer Chiefs,”

“SABC Sport can reveal the two parties have reached an unprecedented agreement that would see a player move between the two Soweto giants should he pass a medical and have the finer details ironed out. If all goes well, as expected, Sam would then be part of The Glamour Boys’ pre-season training camp in Turkey from Friday,” SABCSport reported.

Hotto is currently one of the highest-paid players in the PSL. However, he has been linked with a surprise Pirates exit. Meanwhile, Saleng is the Bucs most valuable player, according to Transfermarkt. Therefore, these two exits could draw big deals or open space for some big-name signings to be made.
