Orlando Pirates exit list: First casualty confirmed!

Orlando Pirates are set to offload a number of players in order to make way for the new ones that will be brought in ahead of next season.

Orlando Pirates are set to offload a number of players in order to make way for the new ones that will be brought in ahead of next season.

And that process appears to be underway with the first casualty of the exit list already confirmed as Nkanyiso Zungu.

Zungu was previously on loan at Richards Bay FC, but he was recently released due to disciplinary issues, and he’s already searching for a team for next season.

And that’s because Pirates have decided against keeping him beyond the expiry of his contract in June, meaning he’s currently a free agent, according to Unplayable.

“He’s basically a free agent and searching for a team for next season,” confirms a source known to Unplayable.

ORLANDO PIRATES INTEREST IN KARIM KIMVUIDI CONFIRMED?

Orlando Pirates are reported to have registered their interest in a PSL dribbling wizard worth in the region of R3.5 million.

Karim Kimvuidi of Maritzburg United is the player reported to be on the radar of Pirates following what has been an impressive individual season for him.

The news of Pirates’ interest in Kimvuidi are reported by Unplayable, but at this stage, at this stage, it is unclear if there has been any bid submitted to Maritzburg United.

Maritzburg United are having a tough season as they sit 16th on the PSL log with two games to go, and their focus is certainly to try and avoid relegation.

And should that not happen, they would be forced to sell their top players as part of restructuring their finances for the Motsepe Foundation Championship.

Kimvuidi is a 21-year-old DR Congo star who has, so far, featured in 28 games across all competitions for Maritzburg United, including 27 in the league.

And while he’s an attacking midfielder with an ability to eliminate opponents, Kimvuidi is yet to find the back of the net but he’s contributed four assists thus far.
