Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro says he is delighted to have a player like Lesedi Kaping in his squad.

The 28-year-old attacking midfielder was announced this week as the Buccaneers’ sixth new signing.

Kapinga was linked with several clubs ever since he was released by Mamelodi Sundowns but the dribbling wizard chose the colours of Pirates.

“I have been talking with people who had an opportunity with him and everyone says he is an exceptional human being. That is very important for us because he is going to be part of our winning team.”

Known for his flair, and creativity, Kapinga has already linked up with his new teammates at Orlando Pirates and allocated jersey number 21.

“When you go to the market, there are different factors playing a role. We had to think in the short to mid-term. I think Pirates did an exceptional job in the market,” Riveiro said.
