The Carling Knockout Cup takes the center stage this weekend. Orlando Pirates welcome Cape Town Spurs to Soweto.

CARLING BLACK LABEL KNOCKOUT: ORLANDO PIRATES VS CAPE TOWN SPURS

As recently confirmed by the Premier Soccer League, the Sea Robbers will be back on the green grass on Friday night.

With Mamelodi Sundowns having been dumped out by TS Galaxy in the first game on Wednesday, Pirates and Spurs will battle to become the second team in the final eight.

The game will kick off at 19:30 from the Orlando Stadium.

MIGUEL TIMM TO FEATURE

Sharing the match preview, Pirates selected Timm as the player to watch in a black jersey.

“The experienced midfielder has quickly hit his stride in the new season after a minor injury setback and again displays the form that turned him into a crowd favourite,” the club said.

“Timm was among the standout players in the MTN8 final, disrupting the opposition’s attacks through excellent positioning, and could be a key factor in yet another must-win outing,” the noted ended.
