Nkanyiso Zungu: Orlando Pirates star midfielder’s return date set?

Orlando Pirates midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu’s return date to the club has been set, according to the information gathered by The South African.

Orlando Pirates midfielder Nkanyiso Zungu‘s return date to the club has been set, according to the information gathered by The South African.

Zungu is currently suspended by the Sea Robbers after being charged by the police on Sunday for allegedly assaulting his partner.

The assault case against Zungu has already been withdrawn by the said partner, but Zungu isn’t off the hook with Pirates as he still suspended.

And it appears Zungu will be sidelined for a while as he’s set to spend a month in Durban before he may be allowed to return to Pirates.

Zungu was born in Parkgate just outside Verulam, and him going back to Durban is part of his rehabilitation following the alleged assault case he faced this week.

ORLANDO PIRATES STAR ZUNGU TO GET THE HELP HE ‘NEEDS’ IN DURBAN

On Monday, Zungu’s agent Mike Makaab told Gagasi FM that as Prosport International, they will do everything in their power to help the embattled Pirates midfielder.

“I haven’t [spoken to Zungu] but our team in Johannesburg, led by Alban Newman, who heads our South African football division, has met with the player and the family,” said Makaab.

“And we have engaged the club… and I don’t want to comment too much on it at this point in time, except to say we are looking at this incredibly seriously.”

“And what is important to us to see whatever we can do as an agency to make sure that something like this never happens again to the young man, with the young man,” he said.

“I am just hoping we can resolve the matter, and we can give him the help that he needs because he needs help,” concluded Makaab.
