New Kaizer Chiefs signing already on his way out!-report

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have already started their recruitment drive ahead of the next season, reportedly already signing three players.

Kaizer Chiefs are believed to have already started their recruitment drive ahead of the next season, reportedly already signing three players.

Chiefs have already confirmed the signing of SuperSport United centre back Thatayaone Ditlhokwe, while also being thought to have signed Mduduzi Mdantsane and Given Msimango.

At the end of the previous season, Chiefs made a massive clear out, getting rid of some experienced players, some of which had not been able to lead Amakhosi to any silverware during their lengthy stays at the club. It is expected that they will also undergo a similar exodus that could see several players forced through the exit door.

A lot of the players that were released by Chiefs were over 30-years-old with the majority never winning a trophy while at the club. Besides the Bernard Parker, the likes of Daniel Cardoso, Ramahlwe Mphahlele, Leonardo Castro and Daniel Akpeyi had never touched any silverware during their careers at the club. 

Bimenyimana on his way out of Chiefs?

Now according to the latest reports, Chiefs are set to go through yet another revamp and this time   more than just age, it will also be the overall contribution that will decided whether a player stays at Naturena for the next season or not. One of those players who is thought to have not had the desired effect is striker Caleb Bimenyimana

Bimenyimana arrived at Chiefs, somewhat belatedly having been released after undergoing a trial during pre-season. It then seemed like a rather strange decision by Arthur Zwane and his Amakhosi management to sign a player who they initially did not see as a perfect fit for the club. Now according to Soccer-Laduma, they are looking to offload the player already.

“The Siya crew has gathered information that Caleb Bimenyimana is another player facing the exit door. The club’s management is said to have not been impressed by the general contribution of the 1.94 metre tall Burundian striker, even though at one stage, he was the club’s leading goal scorer. A lot was expected from him as a foreign player but since the start of the season, he has turned out to be more average than the players already on the Amakhosi roster, hence the possible decision to offload him.” Wrote the publication.

Bimenyimana has scored seven goals for Chiefs since signing on a free, including a hat trick of penalties against Stellenbosch. But it hasn’t gotten much better for the player since.
