The chase for a Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates transfer target has now become a three-way race.

Pirates were thought to be close to be wrapping up a new signing ahead of the new season.

It has been no secret that Pirates have been interested in Shaune Mogaila, a long-term target now available for free. The speedy winger recently parted ways with former club Royal AM. It is reported the split came after the two parties could not agree on a improved terms for a new deal. Waiting on the wings, is believed to Pirates, who are club wanted the player even before he joined the Durbanites.

This publication reported just that Pirates and Mogaila were close to an agreement for next season. But in football, it doesn’t take long for things to change with the latest update possibly making the Buccaneers nervous. Firstly a later update from this publication revealed that Norwegian giants Valengra are serious about signing the player. But that is not all. It has since been revealedthat arch rivals Chiefs are also interested in the player. If that was not enough, it is thought that SuperSport United have since joined the fray according to iDiski Times

SuperSport enter Mogaila chase with Chiefs and Pirates?

“This publication understands that Matsatsantsa are eying Mogaila, who had previously been linked with Orlando Pirates before joining Royal AM. Mogaila left AM outside the window transfer, which means he won’t be able to play again in the current season, he can only sign a contract for the upcoming season.” Wrote the publication.

The links to Pirates or Chiefs have rather died down for Mogaila, which could give hope to SuperSport. It remains to be seen if the Soweto giants will eventually enter the conversation or if they were even interested to begin with. Both sides do appear to have cover in the wide positions, however.
