KAIZER CHIEFS WITHOUT HLANTI FOR CUP TEST

The Glamour Boys will take a break from their DStv Premiership duties this weekend in a Nedbank Cup round of 32 clash against Motsepe Foundation Championship outfit Milford. Sifiso Hlanti has accumulated four yellow cards this season, which triggers an automatic suspension.

“Kaizer Chiefs will be without their first-choice left-back Sifiso Hlanti after the 33-year-old picked up four yellow cards,” Otis Ntshangase reported.

13-time champions Chiefs haven’t won the trophy since 2013.

English clubs to blow Kaizer Chiefs out of the water for a major target

Khanyisa Mayo, last season’s joint-top scorer in the PSL and currently the leading marksman in 2023-24, is a wanted man. According to KickOff, foreign clubs might chase Kaizer Chiefs and Sundowns off their pursuit of the 25-year-old attacker.

“I know very well that clubs from abroad have shown interest in Mayo. There is one team from Sweden and another two from the English Championship who wanted to invite him for an assessment. That could have been a good step in his football career, and Scandinavian countries like Sweden would have been a good start. But there’s still plenty of time for him to go; he is still got time, he is young,” said the source.
