Nedbank Cup 2022: When is the Last 32 draw?

The Nedbank Cup season is upon us, and 32 teams will again fight for the R7 million prize money and a spot in the CAF Confederation Cup.

There will be 16 teams from the PSL, eight from GladAfrica Championship and a further eight from the lower leagues of South African football.

WHEN IS THE LAST 32 DRAW

The draw for the last 32 is scheduled for TODAY, Wednesday, 12 January 2022 at The Galleria in Sandton, Johannesburg.

While not everyone will be allowed to be part of the proceedings at the venue, SuperSport TV will ensure that every football fan has access to the draw.

It has been confirmed that the draw will be screened live on SuperSport PSL channel 202 from 12:00 noon.

WHO ARE THE NEDBANK CUP DEFENDING CHAMPIONS?

Marumo Gallants are the Nedbank Cup defending champions having lifted the trophy towards the end of last season.

At the time, the Limpopo-based outfit was still known as Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila (TTM), and they defeated Chippa United in the final.

That was a clear indication that the Nedbank Cup is the ‘underdog’ tournament in the sense that the big guns have hardly done well in recent years.
