“SABC Sport can confirm Moroka Swallows defender Keegan Allan is leaving the club on a free transfer after he was handed his clearance on Friday,” reported Mazola Molefe.

“It’s expected the centre back will then resurface at another club in the coming weeks, but is not under pressure to find a new home immediately because his situation is not bound by the transfer window, which closed last night.”

HELLO SUPERSPORT UNITED

Meanwhile, Allen has swiftly found a new home in the capital city.

The former University of Pretoria star has been announced by Matsatsanta a Pitori.

“SuperSport United FC is pleased to announce the signature of defender Keegan Allan on a free transfer from Moroka Swallows,” SuperSport said in a statement.

“Keegan is yet another product of the SuperSport United Soccer Schools where he developed his football before leaving to study and play football for Tuks.

“He then went onto join Moroka Swallows in the 2022/23 season, and during his one and a half-year stay at the club he quickly established himself as an ever present at the heart of their defence, playing over 30 games.

“The 22-year-old was called up to the Bafana Bafana squad for the COSAFA Cup tournament in 2023 and helped his side to lift the trophy, having played three matches under his belt and will look to add more caps during his stay at Matsatsantsa,” the report concluded.

In the meantime, Swallows will travel to Cape Town City on 14 February, while SuperSport will host Sekhukhune United a day before.
