More HEARTBREAK for axed Kaizer Chiefs striker!

Weeks after being offloaded by Kaizer Chiefs, a former striker has suffered another career heartbreak, this time for his national team

Former Kaizer Chiefs striker Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana narrowly missed out on a place in next year’s AFCON.

The Burundian star finished as his country’s top goal scorer in their qualification group however their final group match loss against Cameroon on Tuesday night brought their AFCON hopes to a halt.

Burundi finished in third place in group C, one point behind Namibia and three points behind first-placed Cameroon.

Weeks after being abruptly offloaded by the Glamour Boys, Bonfils-Caleb Bimenyimana’s Burundian side have narrowly failed to qualify for the upcoming AFCON in Ivory Coast.

The lanky attacker, now on the books of Al Ahli Benghazi, scored two goals for Burundi during the qualification round however it wasn’t enough to book their place in Ivory Coast.

In other news, former Orlando Pirates attacker Bernard Morrison has completed a move to Botola Pro Champions AS FAR Rabat.

The 30-year-old Ghanaian star signed a one year contract at the Moroccan giants, with an option to extend by one more season.

Morrison spent two seasons at the Buccaneers better 2016 and 2018 where he made 23 appearances for the club, scoring four goals.
