Mngqithi happy to benefit

Ahead of the clash, Mngqithi said he was not ashamed that his side benefited from referees’ bad calls.

“Coach Mandla said now we are benefiting now, who cannot be thankful if you benefit,” he was quoted on iDiski Times.

“To be honest, I’m not ashamed because people have benefitted so much before so it is our time. Life or rather challenges do not remain the same forever but they change.

Mngqithi defended referees, saying it’s not always easy to get every decision spot on without VAR.

“Referees do not have the benefit of what we all have – the slow motion – where we get to see the incident for the second time. They have to make a call immediately as and when it happens and that is not always very easy,” Mngqithi added.
