Football is not an easy business and Maritzburg United are the latest example.

MARITZBURG UNITED TO SELL PREMIER SOCCER LEAGUE STATUS?

Having suffered the worst pain in football, relegation from the top flight, The Team of Choice’s chairman Farouk Kadodia is mulling over the decision to sell.

“The club chairman is considering making a tough decision. He may be forced to sell the status to someone else if he does not get the [financial] support he is looking for,” an insider told SABC Sport.

“There have been attempts to buy a DStv Premiership status, with two clubs approached, but it is not clear what may become of those talks.

“The next meeting will give clarity on whether Farook Kadodia remains in football or sells the club and, if he remains, whether it will be in the Premiership or in the lower division,” the report added.
