Mamelodi Sundowns winger set for an EXIT

Gaston Sirino joined Mamelodi Sundowns back in 2018 and flourished under then-coach Pitso Mosimane but has struggled since Mokwena took over.

Mamelodi Sundowns head coach Rulani Mokwena has confirmed that Gaston Sirino is looking to leave the club.

The 32-year-old winger is yet to feature for Masandawana this season and is likely to leave Chloorkop very soon.

Sirino joined Mamelodi Sundowns back in 2018 and flourished under then-coach Pitso Mosimane but since the departure of Jingles, the South American winger has fallen down the pecking order.

Mamelodi Sundowns star seeking a move away from Chloorkop

Mokwena revealed that Sirino is looking to leave Sundowns but the club are yet to receive offered for the star.

“That’s what he’s told the club (that he wants to go). He said I must wait for an offer… there’s an offer that’s coming. This was three weeks ago and we are waiting, because he’s asked us to wait for an offer,” Mokwena told Power FM.

“We don’t keep players at Mamelodi Sundowns that don’t want to be here. We understand how privileged we are to represent this football club, myself included. Every single person is at Mamelodi Sundowns because they are prepared to be selfless,” he said.

Sirino not a happy man at Downs

Mamelodi Sundowns have started this season like a house on fire winning all their six games so far this campaign and Mokwena stated that the club will not push the winger out of the club.

“The Sirino one is very sad… First it’s important to say that Sirino had the best pre-season since I’ve come back to Mamelodi Sundowns, this year,” he said.
