Maluleka joined Sundowns from Kaizer Chiefs in mid-2020, but he had to wait until the start of the 2020-21 season to feature for the Tshwane giants.

His lack of the regular game time since joining Sundowns is the reason Maluleka has been linked with a possible exit at the club.

The 33-year-old midfielder has featured 19 times for Sundowns during his two-year stay, and scored just once while registering four assists.
