Sundowns midfielder set to join ex-Pirates coach in Morocco

Outgoing Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Hashim Domingo is set to join former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer in Morocco.

According to a report by iDiski Times, Domingo is close to joining Raja Club Athletic where he will work with Zinnbauer.

This comes after it was reported that Sundowns will not offer him a new contract when the current deal expires on 30 June.

Domingo has been with Sundowns for three seasons having joined them from the now defunct Bidvest Wits in 2020.

However, he wasn’t a regular as he could only manage 57 appearances in all competitions and scored five goals with six assists.

However, it is worth noting that four of the five goals he scored for Sundowns came last season from the 17 matches he played.

EX-ORLANDO PIRATES COACH SNUBS PSL FOR TOP AFRICAN JOB

Former Orlando Pirates coach Josef Zinnbauer will NOT return to the PSL anytime soon after securing a top coaching job in African job.

According to a report by iDiski Times, Zinnbauer will join Moroccan giants Raja Club Athletic where he will replace Mondher Kebaier.

Raja have parted ways with Kebaier as they lie sixth on the Botola Pro 1 log after 26 games, and Zinnbauer will be tasked with improving that next season.

The publication reports that Zinnbauer is already in Morocco to finalise his move and hit the ground running with Raja.
