Orlando Pirates have reportedly secured the services of a rising star from Mamelodi Sundowns’ academy in a rather sensational swoop!

Mamelodi Sundowns Under-19 striker Gosiame Ngobeni has joined the Buccaneers’ DStv Diski Challenge side.

Ngobeni was a star performer in the Masandawana academy and clinched the 2023 Engen Knockout Challenge ‘Striker of the Tournament’ award for the Brazilians.

The youngster could his former side Mamelodi Sundowns this afternoon in the colours of Pirates, in today’s DStv Diski Challenge clash!

Ngobeni was named on the bench by the Buccaneers for today’s top-of-the-table clash at the Tsakane Stadium.

“Professional football players have to perform and sometimes make mistakes. We all make mistakes in our professions. We are not superheroes, we don’t do everything perfectly. It was a mistake, but football is a game of mistakes.” Orlando Pirates coach Jose Riveiro said, as quoted by Sowetan.
