Mamelodi Sundowns are set to land two star players from Stellenbosch FC!

According to reports, the Brazilians have already snapped up star man Junior Mendieta from their rivals in a big-money move.

And now, another Stellenbosch star is reportedly edging closer to a move to Mamelodi Sundowns!

19-year-old defender Olwethu Makhanya, who made 24 appearances for Steve Barker’s side, has done enough to impress Rhulani Mokwena!

“The talks between Mamelodi Sundowns and Stellenbosch are ongoing. Mamelodi Sundowns have tabled an offer for Olwethu Makhanya.” a source told FARPost.

“Everything is going well and it looks like the boy would sign in the coming days. If Makhanya signs, he’s most likely to go back to Stellenbosch on loan.

“So Sundowns view Makhanya as a good upcoming talent that could be a long-term investment for them.”

In other news, DR Congo star midfielder Fabrice Ngoma is open to joining Kaizer Chiefs ahead of next season.

The talented midfielder has previously been linked with a move to the Glamour Boys however his long-term contract at Al Hilal was a major stumbling block in the past.

Chiefs have been urged to sign top quality players in order to close the gap between them and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The good news however is that the 29-year-old DR Congo international is now a free agent!

“Sources suggest that Kaizer Chiefs have been alerted to Ngoma’s availability. And if they are still interested in his services, they have the opportunity to secure his signature.” a Citizen report read.

“The club will need to make a decision on whether to pursue the player or explore other options for their squad.

“A source close to the matter revealed that Ngoma is keen on joining Chiefs, considering them to be his preferred choice.”
