Mamelodi Sundowns to sign striker from Brazil?

Mamelodi Sundowns are tipped to once again benefit from their strong scouting network in South America ahead of next season

Mamelodi Sundowns have been linked with another blockbuster South American signing.

According to reports, 21-year-old Brazilian striker Everton Macedo Moraes from Esporte Clube Bahia is being monitored by the Brazilians.

Sundowns already have three South Americans in the form of Gaston Sirino, Erwin Saavedra and Marcelo Allende on their books.

Mamelodi Sundowns target Brazilian striker

“They have been monitoring him and they have been sending his videos to the Sundowns technical team including the Technical Director and others to check him.” – an insider told SoccerLaduma.

“They have been impressed and what remains now is for him to come. I can’t exactly say when he is coming but they are in contact with his team in Brazil. They will wait before the new season starts and that’s when we will all know what is going to happen.”

In other news, former Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Dumisani Zuma is a free agent again!

Zuma was released by the Amakhosi last year, and joined AmaZulu as a free agent.

According to the latest reports, Usuthu have opted against extending his contract at the club!

This means that the former Bloemfontein Celtic star is once again a free agent, and can join any club with immediate effect!

Zuma made 21 appearances for AmaZulu, scoring just one goal in his time at the club.

Former Kaizer Chiefs man becomes a free agent again

“SABC Sport can reveal AmaZulu FC will not trigger the option on Dumisani Zuma’s contract, effectively making the striker a free agent.” a SABC SPORT report read.
