Mamelodi Sundowns’ 5-1 thumping of Royal AM was overshadowed by something more exciting and important: a very young kid earned his first team debut.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS INTRODUCE 16-YEAR-OLD SIYABONGA MABENA

As The South African website reported on Tuesday night, Kabo Yellow put Royal AM to the sword, thanks to goals from Peter Shalulile (x2), Cassius Mailula, Mothobi Mvala, and an own goal from Zakahle Ngcobo.

The goal dominance soon gave Sundowns the opportunity to hand Siyabonga Mabena his very taste of professional football at the age of 16.

According to SuperSport, Mabena is still a grade 10 High School learner. Check out the historic moment below.
