Sundowns to play four matches this month

Mamelodi Sundowns are sitting so pretty at the top of the league. But an entire second round of league football is waiting ahead.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS FIXTURES IN FEBRUARY

Kabo Yellow finished the first round in staggering style: 14 games without a defeat and a nine-point lead.

Coming up soon is a trip to KwaZulu Natal before some special visitors arrive in Tshwane.

Sundowns will visit Golden Arrows in Hammersdale before they host the mighty Orlando Pirates.

Fixtures details:

  • Wednesday, 14 February: Golden Arrows vs Mamelodi Sundowns (away) at 19:30 – Postponed, new date to be named.
  • Saturday, 17 February: Mamelodi Sundowns vs Orlando Pirates (home) at 20:00.
  • Saturday, 24 February: FC Nouadhibou vs Mamelodi Sundowns.

Additionally, Sundowns will face NB La Masia in the Nedbank Cup last 32 on Tuesday 20 February.

SOWETO DERBY TICKET SALES

In other news, Orlando Pirates will be hosting Chiefs in the Soweto Derby next month.

The last two editions were two back-to-back wins for the team in back. Pirates won 2-1 in May 2023’s Nedbank Cup semi-final, while also winning the league match 1-0 in November last year.

As confirmed by Pirates and the Premier Soccer League, the next Soweto Derby against Chiefs will be at the FNB Stadium on Saturday, 9 March.

Additionally, Pirates have announced that tickets for the event have gone on sale.
