Sundowns make it four out of four

DStv Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns have started to fly away, thanks to a comfortable win over Chippa United on Saturday night.

Who’s going to stop them? Mamelodi Sundowns have ticked four wins out of four league games, thanks to Saturday’s easy job against Chippa United.

After three straight wins over Sekhukhune United, Kaizer Chiefs and Golden Arrows this month, Kabo Yellow made it victory number four in the Eastern Cape against the Chilli Boys.

The 2016 CAF Champions League winners opened the lead through Aubrey Modiba in the 36th minute before Justice Chabalala slotted home an own goal on 40 minutes.

Meanwhile, Sundowns are now looking ahead to the trip to Richards Bay FC on Wednesday at 17:00.

FIVE NEW SIGNINGS

In the meantime, Sundowns have so far made five new signings.

As The South African website reported in the past month, Sundowns are now five quality players stronger. The new faces include two midfielders, a winger, and two attackers.

  1. Lesiba Nku, 27, defender/midfielder
  2. Junior Mendieta, 30, central attacking midfielder
  3. Lucas Ribeiro Costa, 23, attacking midfielder/forward
  4. Thapelo Maseko, 19, winger
  5. Bathusi Aubaas, 28, midfielder.
