Mamelodi Sundowns are reportedly set to hire a new coach to work closely with Rhulani Mokwena ahead of the new season.

According to SABC Sport, former All Stars FC coach Sinethemba Badela is on his way to Chloorkop where he will occupy a coaching role in the development.

Badela is currently unemployed following the sale of All Stars to Black Leopards but he has never been short of options.

Almost immediately after the All Stars sale to Black Leopards was confirmed, Badela was reported to have attracted interest from Chippa United.

However, that proposed deal fell through as Chippa United reunited with Morgan Mammila, and then the news of Sundowns came through.

At time though, it wasn’t clear whether or not Badela would be joining the Sundowns senior technical team.

Now, it has been reveled that he will actually be roped in as one of the development coach to help nurture talent at Sundowns.

MAMELODI SUNDOWNS IN TALKS WITH NEW COACH

“Mamelodi Sundowns are set to appoint Sinethemba Badela – a coach with a bright prospect – to take charge of the club’s development side,” reads the report.

“SABC Sport has established that Badela has been in talks with the Brazilians for several weeks now regarding the role having initially been approached by Chippa United to be part of their technical team.”
