A former Mamelodi Sundowns attacker looks set to be reunited with his former coach at rivals SuperSport United!

Recently axed Mamelodi Sundowns attacker Phakamani Mahlambi looks set to receive another chance in the PSL.

The speedy winger has began training at cross-town rivals SuperSport United according to reports.

Mahlambi burst onto the scene at the tender age of 17, at Bidvest Wits, under now SuperSport United coach Gavin Hunt.

He however failed to live up to the promise which once upon a time saw him earn a move to Egyptian giants Al Ahly.

Mamelodi Sundowns opted to let go of Mahlambi at the end of last season after a troubled time at the club which including several loan spells away from Chloorkop.

“He is training with Supersport United. It’s still too early to say anything, he just started training,” Mahlambi’s agent told KickOff.

In other news, Bongani Zungu looks set to make a spectacular return to the Premier Soccer League (PSL).

The well traveled midfielder recently parted ways with French side Amiens.

According to reports, Mamelodi Sundowns have offered the Bafana Bafana star a bumper contract at Chloorkop.

Should he indeed sign on the bottom line at the Brazilians, he’ll join the likes of Sipho Mbule and Ronwen Williams as New arrivals at the club.

Apart from Bongani Zungu training with the club, the Brazilians are also tipped to announce Abubeker Nassir, Marcelo Allende and Abdelmounaim Boutouil.

Zungu spent three years at Mamelodi Sundowns between 2013 and 2016.

He was an integral part of Pitso Mosimane’s serial winning Mamelodi Sundowns side.
