Mamelodi Sundowns new signing Junior Mendieta has vowed to ‘fight till death’ for the club!

The talented Argentine playmaker joined the Brazilians following two stellar seasons at Stellenbosch FC.

The 30-year-old scored 15 goals while registering 15 more assists for Steve Barker’s side during his two year spell.

He has since opened up about his blockbuster move to the Champions. Take a look at what he had to say below.

“I’m going to give my all. I’m going to take this club with me and I’m going to defend it to the death as if it were my family,” Mendieta said as quoted by Citizen.

“I want to show them my passion and desire to be part of this club so that they can accept me in the best possible way. I’m here to help and put my heart into it. They saw me and felt I’m one of them.

“Personally, I want to win a trophy with Mamelodi Sundowns. I want to keep doing what I’ve been doing with Stellenbosch and to get the best out of me at Sundowns.”

In other news, Former Orlando Pirates defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza has been released by Richards Bay FC.

The Veteran defender spent just one season at the club following his seven year spell at the Buccaneers.

Nyauza made 22 starts for the Natal Rich Boys, scoring one goal for the club.

He can now join any club after becoming a free agent.

“DStv Premiership side Richards Bay FC have decided to part ways with veteran defender Ntsikelelo Nyauza after one season at the club.” a KickOff report read.

“Richards Bay have since also terminated the services of Khetha Shabalala while deciding against renewing the contract of Ndiviwe Mdabuka.”
